DOJ Advances Trump’s War on ObamaCare – Urges Court to Strike Down Entire Law

Millions of Americans Would Be Harmed The Trump administration is moving forward with its plan to completely invalidate and eliminate the Affordable Care Act, including the ObamaCare health insurance exchanges, Medicaid expansion, and protections for people with pre-existing conditions. The Dept. of Justice is not only refusing to defend the Affordable Care Act in court in a lawsuit brought by the attorneys general of Texas and about a dozen red states, but it has taken that lawsuit and is now using it as a tool to get rid of ObamaCare. Trump Claims ‘I Was Never Planning a Vote’ on Healthcare Before 2020 – Here’s Why That’s a Huge Problem

What happens when the Trump-supported lawsuit makes the Affordable Care Act disappear? President Donald Trump Wednesday morning did an about-face, a week or so after he renewed his battle against the Affordable Care Act that bears the name of his number one nemesis. And then he lied about it. Last week out of the blue there was this: The Republican Party will become “The Party of Healthcare!” — Donald J. Ex-RNC Chair Warns That Trump Moving to Totally Ax ObamaCare Is a Terrible Issue for the GOP in 2020

With Democrats now controlling the U.S. House of Representatives, the chances of Republicans repealing the Affordable Care Act of 2010, a.k.a. Obamacare, via Congress in 2019 or 2020 are slim and none. But President Donald Trump is attacking the ACA through the federal courts instead, championing the GOP’s anti-ACA lawsuit Texas v. Azarand calling for Obamacare to be struck down as unconstitutional. And when former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday morning, he stressed that politically, Trump is giving Democrats a major weapon...

According to Politico, Azar argued against the administration supporting a lawsuit to get a full repeal of the law during a December White House meeting. He cited a lack of an alternative piece...

Trump Says GOP Will Be ‘Party of Healthcare’ – After His DOJ Asks Judge to Totally Strike Down ObamaCare Law

President Donald Trump has just invoked his repeated strategy of demeaning Americans by acting as if they will believe his every word. Late Monday President Trump’s Dept. of Justice filed a motion telling a federal court that not only will it not fight its ruling that claims ObamaCare’s individual mandate is invalid, but asking the judge to strike down the entire Affordable Care Act law. The DOJ has literally asked for ObamaCare to be not just gutted, but one-hundred percent eliminated, leaving tens of millions of Americans with no heath...

DOJ Moves to Totally Strike Down ObamaCare

Sides With Court Ruling Individual Mandate Is Unconstitutional The Department of Justice has filed a motion calling for ObamaCare to be struck down in its entirety. The DOJ is siding with a federal district court that had ruled the individual mandate is unconstitutional in December, and is basing its new position on that ruling. Previously the DOJ was focused on eliminating mandatory coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, but under Attorney General William Barr the federal government’s position has now changed. In a letter (below) to the 5th Circuit Court...
