Logan Paul defended fellow YouTuber James Charles who is being dragged amid an all-out online war with another YouTuber, Tati Westbrook.

Although the 24-year-old insisted he doesn’t like Charles, 19, he stepped up on his podcast IMPAULSIVE to weigh in on the conflict.

He called upon his fans to stop and think before judging when labelling Charles a ‘predator.’

What did Logan Paul say?

Paul wanted to be clear from the get-go about his stance on Charles. He said flatly: ‘I don’t like James Charles but the crime does not fit the punishment.’

The ‘crime’ in question was a barrage of accusations after OG beauty guru Tati Westbrook dropped a bombshell of a YouTube video.

In the 45 minute-long clip, she accused Charles of ‘betraying’ her after he promoted a rival beauty brand on his channel.

Moreover, and what caught the attention of many, were the accusations that he flirted with a straight male busser at a restaurant. Westbrook believed this was highly inappropriate.

‘I’m not defending James Charles,’ Logan explained, ‘I’m saying, [go] easy when you puff your chest out, put your chin up, and call him a sexual predator.’

Logan spoke on the 75th episode of IMPAULSIVE. The episode was complete with a live count of Charles and Westbrook’s subscriber count in the studio background.

‘Really think about what you’re saying, and really think about what a true “sexual predator” is,’ Paul added.

‘The kid is 19. Cut him some slack, please.’

‘The most disliked apology video in YouTube history’

While Paul calls for a ceasefire, Charles has been crossing the T. After Westbrook posted her video, Charles has since lost over one million subscribers and counting.

Charles responded to Westbrook with a bare-faced eight minute-long apology video which tallied up 2.3 million dislikes. As a result, surpassing Logan Paul’s So Sorry apology video.

Overall, it’s the 10th most disliked video on YouTube, according to Pop Alarms.

Logan Paul is no stranger to controversy

Paul’s own apology video, just one minute and 44 seconds long, has chalked up 2.2 million dislikes.

The internet enjoyed a brief period of unity when Paul posted a video of himself with an apparent suicide victim in Japan. People widely condemned the vlogger, with his apology video being an attempt to capitulate to critics.

But it didn’t stop. He said he was ‘going gay’ for a month in 2019 and was sweepingly slammed for the comments.
