“Queer Eye” Food Guy’s Underwear Pic Leaves Fans Parched And Perplexed
Written by True Media Group on April 14, 2018
Antoni Porowski, resident food and wine expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot, certainly whetted appetites with his latest thirst trap on social media.
Serving up some spicy sponsored content, Porowski stripped down to his boxer briefs earlier this week for the new Hanes #VouchForThePouch underwear campaign.
“Did it just suddenly get hot in here?” commented Queer Eye co-host Karamo Brown, who recently signed a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models. Even the official Queer Eye account responded, “Is anyone thirsty???”
Porowski’s photo caption also has some fans on Twitter touching themselves—specifically scratching their heads over the food dude’s use of the word “contrapposto.”

“Whenever I happen to pose contrapposto, I partner w @Hanes and wear my Comfort Flex Fit Boxer Briefs—they keep everything where it should be, comfortably,” Porowski wrote, noting that his boyfriend, Joey Krietemeyer, took the photo.
“’Whenever I happen to pose contrapposto,’ wtf does that even MEAN,” one follower tweeted. “I need a redneck margarita.”
Tweeted another, “that deafening noise u hear is the sound of thousands of gays googling the word ’contrapposto.’”

The term, coined during the Italian Renaissance, actually refers to an asymmetrical arrangement of the human form. Originated by the ancient Greeks, the sculptural style involves figures posed with their weight on one leg, allowing for a relaxed and organic tilt to the hips, shoulders, and head. See: Michelangelo’s David. Some of us took art history.
Porowski tells People that he only recently switched from regular briefs to boxer briefs. No, he doesn’t cook in his underwear, but his Hanes do turn up the heat in his home. “Until noon, I am allowed to walk around in my underwear,” he says.
The Hanes #VouchForThePouch underwear campaign also features former football player Victor Cruz and MTV’s Catfish host Nev Schulman.
Netflix announced last month that it has renewed Queer Eye for a second season.
